Isgaard and her Golden Key Album

I was so happy when my friend from work who was staying with me for a while brought home my gift from my daddy in our exchange gift for Christmas. The gift was simple... it was the album of Isgaard, Golden Key.

It had the song Anima on there and that was the very first song that I ever heard from Isgaard and I immediately fell in love with it. Good songs on the album were Golden Key and Earth Song (which is a revival of a Michael Jackson original).

I was so inspired that I wrote 3 songs just like the ambiance of Isgaard's songs. Ü

Happy New Year!

I guess this is kinda expected for everyone to post a happy new year post... so here goes.

Happy New Year!!!

My Holiday is alright. No hitches or anything. I bought a new sim card and I'm a Sun Cel subscriber now most of the time. For those who know me well, alam nyo na kung bakit... he he he. You can still text me on my old number and I'll reply whenever I get to use my old sim. Things will normalize around Jan 9 since I will be buying a new phone around that time.

I found an interesting book in BOOK SALE. "A Field Guide to the Little People" and I like the elves and the stories in there.

I didn't enjoy the Old-New Year split. Like any other superstition, I made my own one.

To have a lot of money this new year, I got all my paper bills and I rolled on them. Ha! I felt ridiculous while I was doing it. I also enjoyed the slight rain because fire crackers were dampened. The sad part was, I heard a lot of gun shots.

Here's to the New Year. Cheers!!!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

I finally managed to learn the tags for the scripts yesterday. I am now able to make my templates better but for references sakes, I will maintain my current settings until I have debugged my scripts for this blog.

I actually took only about 3 hours to learn the basics for the scripting and I think I can hack it but it nearly made me forget that today is actually my mom's birthday. I arrived home at around 7pm and before I went home, I managed to swing by Goldilocks to buy my mom a birthday cake.

When I arrived home she said, "Bakit ka pa bumili, e ang mahal mahal." I told her that I wanted to and she just brushed it off. Before we sliced it, I bossed everybody to sing her happy birthday and while we were at it, I could feel that she is so happy that we were doing it for her. She did not say it but I really could feel that she was so proud of what I have done for her.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Tresh's T-shirt

I had this friend from work and she has this really nice t-shirt with these prints that I found so cheerful. The words go like this:

SMILE
Radiate happiness
PRACTICE KINDNESS
Smile often
DO IT FOR LOVE
Enjoy yourself
Be spontaneous
Play well with others
PERPETUATE HOPE
Make someone's day
BE FIRST TO SAY HELLO
Celebrate the differences

Don't you think this is so wonderful? When I first saw her shirt, I said, "what a wonderful salmon colored shirt you have!" a la big bad wolf delivery. As I looked and read on, I saw the words that are written and I was so delighted to see them. It made my day good and I asked her to write down the words so that I can also share it to other people. I hope you also enjoy the message.

Christmas Party

I attended our company's Christmas Party at the Shangri La Hotel in Makati. We held our party at the Rizal Ballroom where I think one of my closest friends had her debut in. I can still remember that time because she made me one of her Rose during the program.

The night started slow and boring because we could not find seats for my group but when we were seated and satiated with food and drinks, we were really having a good time. The bands, Tropical Depression and Strawberry Cornflakes ( I really am not sure about the band names, my head is woozy right now ), were really fantastic in playing reggae songs and the crowd responded even better. We were swinging and we were making fools out of ourselves by dancing outdated dances and teasing our friend Mandy because she was so shameless for dancing outdated moves ( but of course we love you Mandy!!! ). I haven't had fun like that for a long time now.

The last time I think that I have danced like that was in college when I was still prone to have fun with my not-so-good barkada. The other time was in Ratsky's Malate for a birthday night-out we had for my friend. It kinda makes me miss the good old U-days.

In one of the prize-giving-out watchmacallit, I won a Starbucks tumbler just by sitting on a chair. The emcee told the people to sit, just anywhere; due to my long-time devotion to the Oprah show, I thought that there would be a prize underneath the chairs because that is how Oprah usually does it. When the emcee told us to look for a company calendar underneath the chairs and to come forward should we find them, I found one for myself and that is how I won my tumbler.

Too bad I had to go early because we have a shift tonight.

Tiring Day

I had a very tiring day. All throughout the day, we had so many calls that I did not have enough time to breath. After saying, "Thank you for calling!," I repeat the same greeting to the next customer. But hey, I can't complain about that, it's part of the job. Ü

After shift, when I was talking with my supervisor, I learned that she has broken up with her boyfriend about 3 weeks ago. I suspected as much but then she kept on a good composed image and I was too busy to notice it. I'm in a way sorry but I think it would not help her if she gets reminded of the break-up. I remember the phrase about the duck/swan (whatever you want, it's still the same avian species) that goes a little something like this:

"Look at that graceful swan/duck, gracefully skimming the water's surface. It keeps its feathers in place but underneath, it thrashes its feet to keep afloat."

Indeed, composure can make or break you. . .

As for my bestfriend, he is depressed because he says he is fat. Ok, let's face it, he is not thin either but he cannot consider him obese though. I wish he could read this post because I would like to tell you something about what I heard from a lady talking on the Oprah show many years ago. She said something to the effect of the seal being so content as to what it has. On land, no one would vote it as the most graceful animal. Notice how it bobs its head up and down and lumber around on the bay? It looks so clumsy and comical. But you see, it is comfortable that way because it knows that he cannot please everybody when it is out of its element. On land he may be a lumbering clown but in the water, look at it dive! How it gracefully chases fish and other prey. Do not discount the fact too that in ocean parks, it is applauded for jumping out of the water in the most magnificent way.

So as it turns out, this entry is a toast to all those ducks/swans and seals out there. Let's learn a lesson from them. ♥
